2000 GATHERING

The gathering in the year 2000 will be back on the first Saturday of June. That is Saturday 3^rd June 2000. The venue is still to be decided at this point but it looks as if it will be at the Blair Atholl distillery in Pitlochry, Perthshire. Look out for your invitation and get your reply in quickly please. AS AT 22 DECEMBER SEVERAL OPTIONS ARE UNDER CONSIDERATION, INCLUDING DUNDEE... 1999 CLAN ASSOCIATION GATHERING

The 1999 Clan Gathering took place on 12 June 1999 at Scone Palace. This was the largest gathering that we had held so far with 97 people attending. Once again we gathered in the pouring rain to tour the Palace and some more resilient people went out to try their luck at the maze and look around the grounds. The AGM was held at the Isle of Skye Hotel in Perth from whence we travelled to Birkhill for a very enjoyable buffet and ceilidh. Many thanks once again to Elizabeth Stevenson for organising the Gathering and to the Earl and Countess for being such gracious hosts.

1999 ‘JUNIOR’ GATHERING

As mentioned above, the weather on the day was not very good, however three hardy Scottish Scrimgeours still went cycling through the Perthshire countryside. They told me afterwards that they thoroughly enjoyed themselves and didn’t really get very wet.
